PACKAGES
MINUET PACKAGE
As years pass by, felts become compressed or worn, due to pressure or friction and action parts move away from the close tolerances which are set at the factory.
In our Basic Refurbishment Package, we bring your piano to our workshop, reshape the hammers, regulate the action and pedal mechanisms, clean, lubricate, polish and touch-up the cabinet and generally revive the instrument.
SONATA PACKAGE
We have found that in many instruments, the string section may deteriorate before the mechanical section or vice-versa. This means that if we restored that particular section, then we would extend the life of the piano for another generation. The Action Restoration package is for those instruments in which the string section is still in good condition but the action is in disrepair.
In the Action Restoration Package, we replace the hammers and any other felt or wooden parts which are necessary, including felts in the keys, lubricate and regulate the action and pedal mechanisms polish and touch-up the cabinet. These repairs pro-vide you with another generation of service from your beloved piano.
SYMPHONY PACKAGE
CONCERTO PACKAGE
Every piano is not worthy of a full reconditioning. Many older pianos were of a very high quality of workmanship, and some have been preserved in very good original condition. This is often true when a piano has always been in the same family. The team at One Pianoman will advise you as to whether it is feasible to rebuild your piano or whether it should be replaced.
Although reconditioning a piano can be more costly than purchasing some new ones, it may yet be an advisable thing to do, because very often the quality and tonal characteristics of your older piano far surpass that of the new instrument. Where there may be a genuine appreciation of old-world craftsmanship, or where a family has a sentimental attachment to the instrument, reconditioning may be a sensible option.
Our Full Reconditioning Package includes restoring the action and keys with new parts, repairing the soundboard and bridges, refinishing the plate and installing new felts , new bass strings, treble strings and tuning pins, voicing, fine tuning, polishing and touching up the cabinet.
